A Woman's Plight, Comedy, Male Bonding, Unicorns

Capricorns I’ve Known

Like unicorns brandishing horns
Climbing to the top of mountains

Bugling their vision unhearing
Other sight having equal merit

What pressures felt to be right
Rooted in earth bound so tight?

Telescopic points of dissuasion
Difficult to budge if bargaining

Goat head-butting forcing truths
Demanding respect’s adherence

Knocking others off their paths
Chiding them for not following

I wonder if they had been raised
With more gentility of generosity

Perhaps they wouldn’t need to worry
About being so righteous in their glory

And my love for them wouldn’t be wasting
Upon sharp stones where it was trampled

Note that I too can
Brandish my horn
