A Woman's Plight, In Dreams

Waiting For You

She found herself at a different house, on a different hill, and a man closer to her age that she had known once was vital, like she remembered when he used to complain of wanting to lose a few pounds.

He was “up to his old tricks,” finessing in his professionalism as he always did so well.

And he was still well situated and longing for that “perfct” person to come play a partner in life with him.

She dreamed that happy childen came to visit because he knew much of the neighborhood community, and she was losing weight there being in a neutral environment without cirtisol constantly hitting.

In fact, her curves were about to be, for once, eye popping.

But she stood there in the middle of what felt like artificial tranquility – which is something that only the financially established can simulate.

There were no threats of danger beyond mere challenges of the stock market and managing consumerism.

She could stay here, “forever,” and be provided for as just a version, a fragment of herself.

And she had to admit that the thought of letting go of her struggles to just become a place holder without conflict somehow seemed tempting.

But she told him she wasn’t “dating” until after the new year.

Still looking outward on that internal shoreline, she was aching for another, and waiting.

My Lyrics To “We’ll Meet Again” By Jeremy Blake (More Tears)

By Athena Stairs – June 20, 2026

When I was young

I dreamed that I’d find the one

And every day my heart would look for you

But no one came and my life was just the same

And at times I felt my heart was split in two

Then ever did I wander far

Looking out for every star that fell to earth

Because I swore there’d come a day

Now reaching far beyond my faith

Daring not to hesitate I swear I’ll find a way to bring you home to me

Where you’ll stay

Here with me

So every day I won’t give my love away

Because I know it belongs just to you

Here I’ll stand without making my demands

Because I know your heart must feel it too

When you wish upon a falling star

Wondering how near or far just know

I’d give the world to see you smile again

And whenever you’re feeling blue

I will always come on through because I’ve come to see I’m where I long to be

I will stay

Here waiting

You belong to me

In Dreams

Wherefore Art Thou?

In the first dream, she found his traces.

But the message come back to her said wait a year.

And she was much aggrieved.

In the second dream, she came upon him in a nondescript setting doing his thing.

“Who is that?” she asked of one of the cafe’s participants.

“Don’t you know?” answered a relaxed fellow, now including her as an insider.

And she was then certain that her love had walked behind a curtain into a hall.

And her hand trembled just a little as she reached out to part the cloth and reveal its contents.

He didn’t look like a presupposition of any type except for his height.

Because she still did not know what he looked like.

But the elements were there…

So she took his hand, ready to bridge into mutual guidance.

My Own DreamScape

“In the dream, something settled in me, and I was at last happy…

At peace.

I had found the real strip of city-towns along the coastal edge that before I could not place in pre-fashioned dreams’ ‘reality.’

That perfect combination of favorite aspects from different locations that I have had prior experienced in my life – became all proportionately blended into one.

For some reason, this had been very important to me for sime time to achieve.

Perhaps it was because these different snippet sensations each provided of certain sense of place particular to my needs that when combined ended up feeling like ‘home.’

My imagination had crafted the perfect idealism at last…

In effect, breaking the code.”

“What We Long To Say” (Song)

By Athena Stairs, January 27, 2026

I’m the one
Who’s goin’ to feed ya

And I’m the one
Who’s goin’ to please ya

Don’t even think a sec
To run away

I will find you
In the garden

In subtle breeze
My guidance haunts ya

Yeah I’m the one
Who doesn’t turn away

And when you look
Into the mirror

You can flip
To fear your finger

The time at last
Has come to seize our day

So when you’re ready
Come and find me

We can talk
Get to unwinding

All we need is love
To light our way

Boulevard Of Dreams

On the empty, paved lot next to the gas station and just before the freeway on-ramp, they paced with signs of longing and need, waiting…

She could sense their desperation and saw how that, too easily, they were willing to sell their selves short for just a glimpse – the briefest taste of any paradise.

But she just parked nearby with the engine kept running for a couple of minutes…

Then he turned and walked directly her way.
