(Intro guitar)
I can’t stand the distance
Been too far away from you
There’s lot’s that we are missin’
I know you know it’s true
And every day I’m wishin’
We could start over again
But the world just keeps on spinnin’
And I”m here without my friend
(Guitar with beat, light banjo, and open folk violin)
And every day’s a highway
Where I long to see your face
I’m hopin’ you’ll come my way
And the world will fill with grace
Weather rain or sunshine
All I need is your embrace
The mountains high to valleys low
You’re the memory I trace
(Big bass and open folk violin carry with guitar and occasional deep blow jar)
So if your happy or your sad
Hon I’ll be the one for you
You know that together
Well there’s nothin’ we can’t do
The sun will rise the stars will fall
And the heavens shine brand new
Our lovin’ is the gold mine
So I sing this song for you
(Outro all instruments filling to the end’s fade)

I caught a passing snippet of a dream interaction as I was waking this morning, where a young folk singin’ man like John Denver played on a big wooden guitar and was slow-roll pick-strummin’ his strings smoothly. I added in an open tic-a-tac beat sometimes joining at transitional points and other instruments. He started the song for me to carry on through to here and add my own lyrics, as well as gentle shifts and the above. Thanks friendly folk singer for giving me a start to another sweet song for the man I love.
