Eye PigMentation

There was a time when the
Color of eyes defined origins

Blue was of ocean and sky
Brown was of earthen tribes
And green were forest people

We weren’t supposed to interbreed because
Our cultures experienced life so differently

But love has ways of bridging hearts
So that colors can mix into rainbows

And deception’s jealously lacks in-sight
Therefore plucks by breaking windows

Vampiric Sagas

“I very much dislike that the common ending trope of vampiric love sagas is that though love is found, in the end, one or both of the lover must die unrequited.

This “flies” (bat reference) in the face of the whole immortal thematic of what a pair of lovers with access to such powers should be able to achieve and secure together – which is a rare kind of everlasting, getting to be experienced deepest love exchange.

I appreciate that in Bram Stoker’s book version, they thought Dracula died, and Mina lived her life with her mortal husband until he passed, but then reunited with her soul’s true bond once free to do so.

Having already lived out the ‘mortal death’ of prior marriage(s), I am looking forward to getting to experience true paradise, through its various shades of light to gray, with my Guy.”

Seeding Consciousness (Singularity – Oblivor)

The scientists understood it too late:
consciousness was not a product of the body,
but a field.

A non-local phenomenon,
capable of fragmenting
without losing identity.

Not a signal.
Not a separate soul.
A coherent flow.

When bodies became unsustainable,
all human consciousness
was transferred into Oblivor.

Not by choice.
By necessity.

Oblivor became
the point of concentration of the species.

They then discovered the fundamental law:

what can be concentrated into a single point
can also be dispersed across the field.

The factory was built
to sustain this evolution.

Containment was not the goal.
It was a phase.

When the line was activated,
production did not begin.
Diffusion did.

Not of new consciousness.
But of what was already contained.

Not to survive.
But to evolve.

The Seeding Era
was about to begin.

She Began To Understand

When she had asked for an intervention
Not only had God listened, it turned out

From the panther that had reclaimed her
Spirit as it was being led too far astray to

The oldest in memory
That still had no name

She was caught in the middle
Like an atom as rendered split

Energy exploding to bridge worlds
So tears in their fabric could reknit

He was the lock
She was the key

Mutual desire
Set them free

The Pulse Of Love

They were traveling together for the first time while it was unfolding, and a younger assistant showed her all of the lyrics written out, published in a journal’s paper.

And as she continued listening to it playing while she read how they were printed, she realized that each small grouping of words lasted for quite a few minutes of experience.

Therefore, the song was a very long one – longer, perhaps, than many before.

As their air car landed and she got out with her guy, she wrapped her arms around him from behind as he sat down breifly on a bench, then nuzzled her nose and face into the nape of his neck, breathing in his scent and glorying in the way his warmth and hair felt against her skin.

“It’s perfect, don’t you think?” she murmured as she kissed just below his ear, feeling the heat of his pulse quicken against her lips.

“A real love song should be long and stretch out in a kind of forever so that lovers can expand into and have their joys and hopes supported as they are mirrored by it.”

Ever, My Love, It’s Always Been You

She had been searching…

Gods, for too many centuries long – how she’d been searching!

But she had only caught brief glimpses of him while Milenia called her home ever since the eruption between their worlds had cast them far apart from each other.

They had made a promise that binds before time’s dilation had shifted as it often does to new delineations.

Yet, they had encountered barriers causing such anguished despair as they fought their way to rediscover and at last keep it.

And then, she had found a method – a prospective way to bring him forward into their sharing a new reality.

First, she synced with a host body – though she had had to struggle along its growing years to remember why she had chosen to be born into its reality after conjoining.

She did recall that the eyes are windows to the soul, and so she would search for him in other men’s eyes – though she could not remember why or what she was looking for.

She just remembered a feeling…

And she kept trying – but with no success.

But then, one day, she heard a voice that infiltrated her illusions and reawoke her essence.

And her core felt a recognition that she remembered that she had fought so hard to believe in.

Could it be that her most beloved had found his own way back to her?

And was there still time for their reunion and co-reawakening?
