As I walked back out into the night and looked up at the moon, the intensity of dark rainbow-ring diffusion felt aimed at me – as if the Eye of Heaven was peering directly through its microscopic vision.

I find it significant upon having certain important dreams that I awaken to snow falling softly onto the ground.

In human form, he occasionally paced while standing guard outside of hall entryway doors, distraught yet displaying assured composure with neutral stance for observers to gain no advantage.

But in wolf form, he came to me when I called softly as I drew near to his position and let me take his worried, heavy head into my hands to cradle it and give him soft, playful smacky kisses over his forehead to help calm his nerves.

Then, I crouch-settled and protectively wrapped my arms around his long-furred shoulders to give him shelter for a few moments in a protective, comforting hug.

Must have someone she can love – even if it’s ifrom a distance.

I remember who I used to be, but I’m not that same person anymore.

We can show the world what it needs to see.

She had invested in and modeled love for each of them.

They were each now in healthy relationshipes.

But where was her “great reward?”

An air of independent composure.

She had a tendency to see through insignificance and catch the sense of what was of main importance.

It wasn’t that she needed to learn any of the major lessons – for she was a quick study and automatically intuited a great deal of what was important.

Rather, it was that she needed to allow herself to go through the process of experiencing being human, and wait for others’ abilities to catch up to her’s.

She’d held on through the years, regardless of stress or pressures, to ensure some kind of stability for her children to push off from.

At this point, perhaps, her breaking down and fragmenting was long overdue.

“I know that gargoyles don’t migrate – and that you are by nature as a species, categorically stubborn. But I also sense that you have always craved something more than this mere existence has provided,” she coaxed.

Sometimes a wound must be cauterized – and then ignored – to be given space and time to heal.

What defined her could not be as yet defined.

She had fought against the conclusion that she should abstain from men.

She was more dynamic and hungry than he was.

Therefore, the kids and she were likely destined to fly the nest eventually, anyway.

She had not experienced a man wanting her for the “right” reasons.

She surmised it was probably impracticle for her to be in a relationship now – and possibly, ever.

Her life kept shifting and rearranging along some evolving behind-the-scenes course, and she was required to be at its helm.
