When a soul has been alone a long time
Questions underlying everything surface
It is no longer enough to merely connect
How do they know that they are wanted?
And what secures their partner will stay
When one did all they could, previously
To no effect in retaining the intended
Rendering enamored a fool believing
She had thought that she had seen him before, walking alone into town, and had wanted to call out to him.
But she had not been sure that he would welcome attention, and so drove off to her other destinations, regretfully.
The beginning sound effects remind me of thematics in the movie, “Blade Runner,” when they are first flying over the city to get to the police headquarters.
“I’m sorry you aren’t seeing me at my best,” she lamented.
“I think we might have this in common,” he gently reassured her.
“Are you afraid of me?” he asked.
“No. Although maybe I should be?” and she smiled playfully, with just a hint of concern over completely trusting without fully knowimg him, yet.
“The Goons are making me stressed, though. Are they yours, or someone elses?”
