I can no longer take hits – and stay silent.

I took the blow, could not absorb it – so left the situation.

It sucks to get one’s heart stepped on.

Humiliation for being seen as dependent amd interrupting – when I wasn’t.

Being misread by assumption is painful.

“I need to state that your using the term ‘pride’ in this situation is completely inappropriate when addressing the real concern of potential permanent disability – and would suggest your being more neutral, if not more compassionate, to future clients in this regard.”

Raised rent – but no pending eviction.

Where in the realm are the true, dashing gents as the rest of us get pushed into gutters?

I’ve seen plenty of the detrimental kind.

Lamdlord is raising rent as high as he can.

Bowing to those who cannot “see” amounts to propagation of blindness.

There are so many reasons for relationships to not work – but only one reason for validity that should ultimately matter.

A burbling undercurrent building to erupt into hysterical sobbing or outrageous laughter.

“Shhhhh,” I remember my once-beloved’s mother cautioning me, for in that culture, women are not permittted valid candor.

When I advocated for the community back in 2004 and related, there was nothing in it for me – I could not gain nor retain housing.

I dislike being forced to take up a cause.

There is currently no accountability for the insidiuos war being waged upon our communities where hard-working families are discounted as housing priority.

If it happens, this will be our 6th since 2011.

Who is gaining all of the benefits from loss?

Those that have more than one house do not seem to stand up for those who do not have even one.

Instead, they eat the cream from others’ labor right off the top – leaving what little remains in a state of rot.

Happening across a like-minded cohort.

The pain of fresh betrayal.

It is hard to find where one belongs when descended from many.

We are told that we can only express ourselves within limitations (if at all allowed), and that we must choose only certain facets of self to present to others.

No wonder it is rare to find someone who is consciously “here” – for we are too often discounting our own wholistic relevances!

Sensory intake overstim whirls in conjuction with fighting compulsion of giving in to whatever messaging’s whim.

Rather than put more effort into trying to align with others, she realized it might be time for them to reach out to align with her.

Maybe that was the issue: she was hard working and determined.

“Real men” might appreciate this and deem her colleague out of respect.

But “real men” weren’t real men, after all, if they only wanted her as a pet.

“But she’s so ‘sweet and deserving…'”

No.

She hasn’t had to fight for right to evolve.

There is a man there who when he sees me has been contriving to “be at the right place and time” in zones where I am going.

This has been happening more clearly, yet I still go out of my way to avoid and not respond to him.

I don’t like being tracked and maneuvered upon – especially since I have observed his desperate and frustrated loneliness over many months.

I could be flattered by this attention – but am not.

I couldn’t help but notice for some time his interest in other people who then rejected him, and now he has settled upon me.

I have not been his first choice – and at this point, I would not want to be.

Back off, man.

Thanking people for being there in their relative ways; finding a compliment to give a stranger to help clear the waking haze.

Propaganda turns us against each other.

Under patriarchy has equated to condemning validity of our realities.

Moon, feathers, owl, and a woman’s side profile taking in the elements as empowering….

When I saw the layers of black, white, gray, and brown flowing so powerfully and gracefully, I knew I had to have it: it belonged to me.

But in obtaining this mirror imaging of my core essentiality, I knew that to mount it on my wall challenged tenants of patriarchy.

“We need a leader who can equally represent more than just one side.”
