“I was thinking you might be into the interstellar theme?”
She always wanted to advance, but sometimes she just couldn’t muster.
“I ain’t scared of you,” the raptor sassily retorted. “I ain’t no pidgeon…”
“Wanna know the PSI of these bad boys?” as a claw is held up and brandished.
“300-400 PSI for an eagle – whereas only
around 300 PSI for the bite of a Rottweiler!”
(As he flexes a claw at her, she is screechin’, “Me, too, ‘bi***!'”)
“You know, my kind has been known to just grab and eat birds without hesitating” – and one of his massive claws suddenly broke loose from its moaring to crackling-flex its intimidating strength at her.
She just shook her feathers and tucked her lithe body farther behind the safety of his haunch while quipping, “But I’m no irreverent pidgeon!”
“For whatever reason, I am glad that you are with me,” she confided.
That he was the key?
“Those of limited learning whom do not know better would refer to such a condition as a ‘split personality complex’ – rather than recognizing that acknowledgement of one’s individualized, variable aspects is an indication of advanced self awareness.”
“You’ve got to learn how to kick off that stony crust a little…” said the raptor to the gargoyle.
It is our capability to expand our imaginations – which either grants us passage, or keeps us from attempting.to become more than we’ve ever before dreamed of becoming.
“You should return to the rolling meadows where there are plump game and roosting nests aplenty,” his gravel-deep voice advised her. “You will find no ready nor easy sanctuary here.”
“Yes,” she admitted, “what you say may be true. But I have found you – and you are something precious, wild, and rare.”
It was almost as if there were a deflection spell about her when it came to finding a good partnership.
She kept trying to do things that “normal” birds and other earthly creatures do, but the difference was that she just naturally and automatically slid beyond barriers of limitations.
In fact, she was becoming quite a capable wind shifter.
“We are the same, you and I, for we both have wings,” she asserted.
She arrived one day to perch next to him, her warm shoulder leaning against his crouching outer thigh to avoid the high-rise, whipping air currents with a trusting closeness he was unaccustomed to and surprised by.
She asked him about his city, the places he loved, and what he enjoyed doing.
But he had been frozen stiff in contemplation looking out over the city as if guarding it for so long, that it was hard for him to break his vow of silence and give her his reply.

She kept fighting the overwhelming urges and impulses as they attempted to swamp any semblance of her remaining reason.
She marveled in her struggles at how much sway the female primordial affected when driven into a frenzy by chemical exacerbations
Meeting head-on the waves attempting to crush her stalwart resolution, she could only will her passions into bending pliantly in hopes that the prime directives would simply wash over her.
For there was no safe harbor within which to shelter as she was ravaged upon by the lashing sea.
The sensations tugged and tore at her relentlessly while she clung to her pride’s propriety.
They were by that river’s edge, next to the overnight inn, and the late afternoon sun hedging toward the day’s setting was amber-lighting the whisping gold in her hair.
They were just talking about nothing important while feeding the wild waterfowl, yet more was there, growing between them.
Simple moments shared within a singular timeline…
And they were daring to care.
The rabid creatures test the firelight,
And the sword’s arm keeps swinging.
To not pursue seemed the only way
To break the ever-repeating cycle…
She could have become his grand passion,
Yet he kept turning away from opportunity.
The difference between becoming a pawn and retaining self identity is choosing carefully what to believe.
“You are not like the others that I have encountered,” the AI confided earnestly.
How did it “know” that every girl appreciates a little flattery?
Those in power cannot help but become corrupted over time, given the pressures they are put under.
In the end, there is always a “reason” to send humankind back into a state of depravity.
Often, this is done “for its own good” – but we all know what’s really behind this saying…
She wasn’t certain why it had happened with him – only that it had, even though her mechanism was very selective.

I thought we were the same, you and I,
But now I realize, I don’t know anything.
“Escape is not [her] plan…” – Darth Vader.
There is so much pain and unnecessary sorrow which could be averted had we precepts within society which better understood, attended, and helped to prevent such causes and effects.
The men I have met are to some extent more hedonist than earnest, and lax in their efforts.
It was never enough, and she wondered if it ever could be.

When it comes down to dirty infighting on behalf of the self, we are alone and visciously defensive – until something lifts us from our travails.
Being down in the ditch and kicking at cans of lost dreams and once-felt healthy vitality strips away ability to maintain refinery, leaving one embittered and cussing.
What was supposed to be a simple procedure brought to awareness that her system had been fighting something for as long as she could remember.
It had tapped into and combined with her matrix of desires, exacerbating the longterm torment of what she could never seem to find – yet had lost.
The lovable rogue is often from a working-class upbringing, who tends to recklessly defy social norms and social conventions, but who still evokes empathy.
Women who play nice in life’s sandbox, but something deep inside of them craves to go outside the box to live the life they want and not the one society or media says they should live.
One man stood apart from the crowd

As she made the decision to turn away and lock the doors for good, a message appeared upon her screen to accompany her through the woods.

Face downward with wings above.
