A Return To Innocence

Home Again

With the addition of our tiger’s 7 month old successor, the house is bustling and lively again.

Of course, I am overwhelmed and overworked in trying to attend to everyone’s introductions and needs.

But the hound and he seem to be as perfectly-matched playmates (supervised, for sure!), building further upon past precious traditions, and our ranger has someone interesting to pique her interest.

Our wolf, per usual, is aloof and tolerant – and keeps alert for when the food is ready!

A Return To Innocence

A Sense of Home

“When I was younger, we moved into a large, two-story home with the original front unit covered in brown shingles, which made it blend well into the environment.

The back portion was a more modern add-on with an additional room below and stairs that led up to an open office and a large bedroom with a beautiful bathroom and jacuzzi tub.

We first got our sassy brown tiger there, and then, our two Somali queen and ranger kittens.

We had small , yappy Papillon teenagers that were loving, competetive, and drove us all crazy – which seemed appropriate for a bustling, thriving family.

And as members of the local 4-H club, we had many varieties of standard to exotic chickens, and our first thriving garden that included young, fruit-bearing trees.

We lived on a large corner sandy lot with a big back yard, a huge elder pine right behind the house, and tall eucalyptus trees draping along the driveway.

There was also a several-nooked, partially enclosed front yard with a simple pond that we put in on the far left corner when looking out from the porch.

Our home’s entrance seemed to beckon and welcome, inviting friendly visitors to come stay and play with us awhile.

I loved seeking out and adding “magical” plants to the landscape, such as soft and fragrant groundcovering chamomile.

Eventually, we even had a family of crows bring their children to visit, and a pair of hawks nested their babies high above us.

It was a time and place for new beginnings as our children entered their teens, and I had so much hope for their having the brightest future.”

Natural Instincts

I dreamed of beautiful black, sleek horses in a lush, green, sloping field dotted with tall, gracefully draping trees, and two big draft horses interacting with me, attempting to get me to let them leave their yard – whereupon their owner called out from his window to them to quit coercing me, and they retreated, flicking their tails and tossing their manes, as if laughing.

Then, I heard many kittens calling behind me in an overgrown field, and a woman and I gathered them all and their mother to give them sanctuary – with my finding one a little older accompanying them and wrapping its blue, short-furred with black tiger stripes lankiness into the comfort of my partially rolled up shirt, snuggled against me as if in a momma’s pouch.

“God’s” Plan

“I do not know for sure about ‘God’s’ existence.

But I do know that Love exists as pure Good intension’s essence.

And when humans embody love and share it’s nourishment, people heal and flourish – and the whole world can heal and flourish by Love’s beneficience, creating ‘Paradise on Earth’ as ‘God’ has ‘promised.’

In this way, it can be seen that ‘God’s Will’ can ‘work through us’ by our ‘Right’ actions in truely loving one another.

Now, I do not feel comfortable at all with the thought of allowing some ‘entity’ to come and go inside my body at any time just ‘willy-nilly’ as religion preaches that people should open up to allow ‘God’ to do.

Feels a bit too much like allowing some kind of ‘possession!’

But Love, itself…ah, Love…

This is something that will always have a home inside of my mind, soul, and body.

And perhaps, this is the real take home message for humans.

Let Love live inside of us and grow between us.

This, in essence, is true Goodness.”

I Know, But…

While dance music often can appeal to younger generations, I find it disconcerting that there is so much “youth first and only” orientation – focusing upon encouraging them to walk away from morals and family values while excluding older generations that may be full of even more “hip” because they’ve weathered storms of life and have actually earned the joy of such music.
