“Get Along Back” (Electronica Dance Groove / Driving Song)

By Athena Stairs, November 9, 2025

(Get along back)
(Get along back)

(Get along back)
(Get along back)

(Get along back)
(Get along back)

(Get along back)
(Get along back)

And they mistake (pause) me for a woman that’s crazed
Ain’t ever seen one on fire that ain’t been insane

But they forget (pause) what makes life feel alive
Is burnin’ passion for love – just give the place and the time

I’m movin’…

I’m groovin’…

I’m movin’ on gettin’ on jumpin’ back on that track
And there ain’t no way baby that they’re draggin’ me back

Because it’s high (pause) time we give that booty a smack
And there ain’t no point to loosin’ if we can’t win it back

I’m movin’…

I’m groovin’…

And there ain’t no point to loosin’ if we can’t win it back

I’m movin’…
(Get along back)
(Get along back)

I’m groovin’…
(Get along back)
(Get along back)

We’re movin’…
(Get along back)
(Get along back)

We’re groovin’…
(Get along back)
(Get along back)

(Get along back)
(Get along back)

(Get along back)
(Get along back)

(Get along back)
(Get along back)

(Get along back)
(Get along back)

I’m groovin’…

Obviously bumpin’ rhythmically…layered female voicing of one woman of many minds coming into “concert,” etc.

A Woman's Plight, Comedy, Male Bonding, Unicorns

Capricorns I’ve Known

Like unicorns brandishing horns
Climbing to the top of mountains

Bugling their vision unhearing
Other sight having equal merit

What pressures felt to be right
Rooted in earth bound so tight?

Telescopic points of dissuasion
Difficult to budge if bargaining

Goat head-butting forcing truths
Demanding respect’s adherence

Knocking others off their paths
Chiding them for not following

I wonder if they had been raised
With more gentility of generosity

Perhaps they wouldn’t need to worry
About being so righteous in their glory

And my love for them wouldn’t be wasting
Upon sharp stones where it was trampled

Note that I too can
Brandish my horn

Unicorn Trauma Bonding

He found her one day
Not realizing she was

Impaled by others’ horns
& Stuck to the Tree of Life

Bleeding out in silence
Trying to hide the pain

Relying on camouflage to
Avoid alerting predators

The shock in her eyes was
Recognition not rejection

Instant pushing away flash
Had been meant to protect

Both him from her desperation
And because she had infection

Kind of hard to exhibit confidence
And go prancing to a most beloved

After unsticking one’s self without
A way to cauterize deep wounding

So he left not understanding that
She wanted most to be with him

This Side Of The Veil

How had the sun been gently
Yet brightly slant-glowing him

As if late morning but
When late afternoon?

How was that area then open
With time sharing rare view?

Now when she parked near it
People lounged in cars by her

Which seemed odd as she waited
For why were they there like her?

The place was always busy now and
If went closer pedestrians observed

As if they expected something
To happen from her presence

Everything had quick-shifted into
People always using the pathway

The doors seemed to have closed
Firmly barring his return entrance

“I had wondered why I had stopped doing my hips’ physical therapy routine at the gym because I need those extra dial-ins, and I am too distracted and compressed at home to do them there.

So last week, I pulled them out again, and then found that guy suddenly in the row right behind me from out of nowhere again.

I caught him looking in a definitely not ok way as I turned to finish my routine.

The look was not one of appreciation, but like he was ‘getting off’ on me lewdly while storing info for later self indulging.

Right.

I had suppressed that memory because it was so, in fact, disturbing.

So I immediately left the area, showing my vote directly with my feet.

But later after making sure to keep always well away from him, and when I was relaxing with eyes closed into unwinding on a machine, he was suddenly right there on the machine next to me – but this time, with his eyes downcast and offering.

There was no mistaking what he was doing.

He had decided to press the point from a different angle with me.

So I got denser in my mass, moved firmly grooved in my own zone, and pushed out ‘don’t mess with me’ vibes as I again immediately left the scene.

His behavior wasn’t something that one can prove easily – which is a disgusting predation scheme that men of baseline morality often like to cultivate, and unfortunately his society cultivates as acceptable for male behavior if done on the ‘down low’ surreptitiously.

And while I could be in a way flattered by his stripping down his ego to submit to me after so rudely leering, the idea of accepting made me want to throw up quite literally.

I am not some abstract geisha queen.”
