The Muzzle

Something happened yesterday that made her shut down, clam up, withdraw hard, and hide her love.

it wasn’t his fault – no, never his fault.

it was due to a direct attack, wrapped up in a distressed accusation from someone she had always deeply cared for.

Though it was laced with kind concern, she could see that it was done to protect that person’s sensitive perspective regarding their own reality.

And without the “proof” needed to substantiate her own experiences, she could not soothe that person’s distress by direct clarifications in order to help positively shift awareness to new and healthy norm.

So she jumped back hard from the pain that this caused to her and sought new ways to protect her endurant and sacred regard for him.
